Troubleshooting

If something goes wrong, first press the upper dial on the right to stop all sound, then check the current part and mode.

No sound

  1. Turn the upper dial to raise the master volume
  2. Check that PLAY mode is selected
  3. For the sampler, press a pad that contains a sample. P9–P12 are empty by default
  4. Check that Fn2 or Mixer has not muted the current part's recorded performance
  5. Check Volume in the part menu and Vol in sample editing
  6. Press the upper dial once to stop everything, then play again

Pads you press manually still sound while muted. If manual pad presses produce sound but the Loop does not, check Mute or the Rec events.

A beat or Loop will not stop

  • Normal stop: press Fn1
  • Stop everything regardless of the current state: press the upper dial on the right

Pad presses are not recorded into Rec

  • Check that REC mode is selected
  • Check that the part is BEAT / SAMPLER / BASS / MELODY / CHORD, not MUSIC
  • Check that the recorded performance is not muted
  • Turn Rec → Quantize ON and check the timing
  • If REC FULL appears, delete unnecessary events or split the work into separate Projects

Undo is unavailable

Undo applies to the most recent Rec operation in the current part.

  • When you switch parts, the Undo history for that part is discarded
  • Individual Delete operations using Fn3 + pad cannot be undone
  • Before holding Fn3 to erase an entire part, check the target part

A sample cannot be edited

  • Stop the beat and Loop
  • Go to SAMPLER + SOUND
  • Press the target pad once for Preview, then briefly press the same pad again
  • Chop Slices do not support Start / End, Pitch, Reverse, another Chop operation or Synth
  • If a prompt appears when changing Sustain Loop In / Out, stop the Loop

No sound captured in microphone recordings

  1. Check System → Recording Input
  2. Try Internal for the built-in microphone or External for the external jack
  3. Check that MIC INPUT or LINE INPUT on the recording screen matches your intended input
  4. Move closer to the microphone and record at a sufficient volume

NO AUDIO DETECTED means no usable sound was detected. RECORDING TOO SHORT means the pad was held for too short a time.

A sample cannot be loaded

  • Check that the format is WAV or MP3
  • Check that each file is within 3,200KiB
  • Use a maximum of 8 seconds for audio beats and 20 seconds for sampler samples as a guide
  • If the memory shared by the 12 pads is insufficient, reduce the number of long samples
  • Check that the SD card is recognized
  • Try again with a short, simple filename

Chop FIT cannot be selected

FIT requires a reference beat or a Rec Loop with a confirmed length. First select a beat, or confirm the Loop length by recording into Rec without a beat.

Songs do not appear in Music Player

  • Upload WAV / MP3 files to the Music tab in File Editor
  • Check that the files are saved in /sampler/music/ on the SD card
  • Close File Editor, then open Load Music again

Performance Recording cannot be started

  • An SD card is required
  • If a song is loaded in Music Player, run Remove Music
  • Check the SD card's available space
  • Check that Project → Performance Recording is On

File Editor cannot be opened

  1. Check that the device and computer or smartphone are on the same Wi-Fi network
  2. Check the device's connection status in Wi-Fi Info
  3. Scan the QR code again
  4. Avoid guest Wi-Fi networks and settings that block communication between devices
  5. Close File Editor on the device and open it again

BLE MIDI will not connect

  • Set Input Source to BLE MIDI
  • Check that the target device is ready to receive a Bluetooth MIDI connection
  • Try BLE MIDI Connection → Reset BLE Connection
  • If the problem persists, use Forget Device, then try Scan & Connect again

Update fails

  • Supply stable power through USB
  • Perform the update near the Wi-Fi access point
  • Check the screen to see whether the failure concerns the Wi-Fi connection or retrieval of update information
  • Once writing starts, keep the power on and wait for completion

Recorded samples disappeared after restarting

Unsaved samples recorded without an SD card cannot be restored after power is turned off. Insert an SD card when recording, and save important states as a Project or Sample Kit.

If the problem persists

Make a note of the following information to help identify the cause.

  • Firmware information displayed under System → Info
  • The operations performed immediately before the problem
  • Any English message displayed on the screen
  • The types of SD card, audio file and external devices used
  • Whether the same problem occurs after restarting
